Finding Happiness in Everyday Life

Our mission is to help people of all ages find small bits of happiness in everyday, build happy habits, and boost parent-child/teen connection. We strive to create a community of finding happiness in the small moments of everyday.

Being a teenager is not easy; between hormones, added responsibilities, trying to find ourselves, friendship conflicts and more, it can be hard to feel happy. On top of all this, our world is filled with war, climate change, post-pandemic life, and endless stress. We get it. Our mission is to inspire and empower you to focus on the small and good moments that happen in daily life: the Small Bits of Happiness.

Started By Two Real Teens

We were struggling to feel happy, so we started to focus on the small and good moments that happen daily.

It’s us, Mercedes and Anastasia Korngut, the two sisters who founded Small Bits of Happiness.

We started Small Bits of Happiness at ages 13 and 11, during COVID. We were both struggling to feel happy due to teenage hormones, friendship challenges, all the ups-and-downs of life, along with a global pandemic. As a family, we found that focusing on the small & good moments: going for a walk, watching a comedy, or eating ice cream (we LOVE cookie dough ice cream so much!), brought a bit more joy to our days. So, we set out to share the power of the SMALL and GOOD moments that occur daily – the Small Bits of Happiness – with people of all ages. We got to work posting quotes, funny videos, and other mood boosts on social media.

Quickly, we learned that by seeking out the good in daily life, we can build happy habits – the practice of doing things that we know bring us joy and that boost our wellbeing. Inspired, we designed our first ever (and still popular!) activity box: Mission: Small Bits of Happiness. Today, Small Bits of Happiness has grown into a multi-platform happiness-wellness brand. Our products are in over 100 retailers (including major chains like select Indigo locations!). Our products are used in 100+ schools. We’ve got a popular podcast, and online blog.

So truly, thank YOU. Thank you for seeing the value of the small things. Thank you for choosing to look for the good in daily life. Thank you for being here, reading this, and for showing up for yourself and your loved ones.

We’re so thrilled to be here with you!
