1. Keep Moving Forward
Everyone undergoes self-doubt and questions their future – even adults! David, however, reflects on the fact that for youth, the process of overcoming self doubt is far more challenging. We don’t have the hindsight of experiences that adults possess. The important piece is to remember that no matter what, we have a place in this world; and opportunities will arise! We simply have to keep moving forward. Always ask yourself: what is next?

2. Build A Wall of Positivity
You can build negative thoughts in your mind, or you can build positive thoughts. David sees his thoughts as building blocks. Either, you can build a wall of negativity or you can build a wall of positivity. He shares that “none of us are immune to the highs and lows of emotions”. We are all human; experiencing joy, stress, hope, fear, love, sadness, and beyond. However, we must not make decisions that are driven by emotion. Rather, we need to look past these innate human feelings, and find the positive in every negative experience.
3. Embrace The Quest
Managing our own disappointment – be it academic, personal, social, or career-wise, is not always simple. We can be hard on ourselves! Personal development is essential, but it’s important to direct our need for self-improvement to tangible outlets. Embrace the Quest, David shares: “it’s about always trying to find things that you can improve on”. Release anything that you cannot control – focusing on boosting and improving what is within your reach!
