Mother’s Day is nearly here! Our moms do so much for us, and now is the time to show our love and appreciation. A gift is wonderful, however, time spent together is the ultimate gift. Below, you’ll find our top, teen-approved and mom-approved Mother’s Day family activities. These make for perfect last minute Mother’s Day gift ideas too. Plan to do your activity on Mother’s Day, or during the weekend!

1. Breakfast In Bed: A classic that does not go out of style! Make your mom a cup of coffee, tea, or pour her favorite juice. Then, make or arrange her a delicious breakfast – pancakes, waffles, eggs – anything she enjoys.

2. Movie Marathon: Secure some popcorn and candy, and watch a series of your mom’s favorite movies.  Consider making it a ‘themed’ movie night, such as comedy, action, or rom-com.

3. Bakeoff: Compete with your siblings or against your other parent, and have your mom be the judge! See who can bake the best treat.  Best of all, keep the judging unbiased by not telling your mom who made which treat.  Click here for baking inspo.

4. Family Walk: This is a simple, low-time commitment activity. Go for a walk in a nearby park, or around your neighbourhood. Look out for signs of spring.

5. Bowling: Plan a bowling session ahead of time by making arrangements with your other family members.

6. At Home Spa Day: Arrange face masks, nail polish, and play a calming playlist (click here for a free one!). Go all out and prepare some water with cucumber, and tasty appetizers.

7. Craft Class: Book yourself and your mom into a crafting class that you think she’ll enjoy – pottery, painting, wreath-making, and beyond. Alternatively, acquire supplies and follow a fun YouTube craft tutorial together at home.

8. Rock Climbing: Is your mom an adrenaline-junkie? Enjoy a fun day rock-climbing at a nearby gym.

9. Photos: If your mom is busy, and doesn’t have time for a multi-hour activity, go through some photos in your camera roll or traditional photo albums while she drinks her morning beverage or enjoys some breakfast.

10. Farmers Market: Take your mom to a local farmers market, pick-up fresh fruits and vegetables, and cook dinner together.
