It’s very common to feel unconfident, and most people, especially teens experience it. Everyone feels this way at times, and that’s normal! Below we list 3 confidence boosters and tips to help you feel better about yourself, have more happiness in your life, and overall, be more confident as a teenager.

1. Improve your posture

Try to stand up a little bit taller, open your chest, and breath in deeply.  Walk in long and decisive steps. When you try your best to maintain a good posture throughout the day, you’ll feel stronger and more confident, which will make you feel better about yourself. This is a really easy confidence tip to add into your daily life.

2. Learn a new skill

When you learn a new skill, you escalate your feelings of self-worth. Often we avoid doing new things because we’re worried we will fail at them. But remember; every successful person has taken a risk at some point in time but they persisted and worked consistently on improving themselves. This feeling of achievement/learning something new is important because it shows you that you can achieve and reach new goals. Research has proved that when you learn new skills, your brain releases a hormone called dopamine, otherwise known as the happy hormone.

3. Wear something that makes you feel good

Wearing something that you feel comfortable and confident in can make your day just a bit better. It could be a shirt that you think looks great on you, or a jacket that makes you feel strong. Whatever piece of clothing that makes you feel good, wear it. 

We hope that these tips help you become more confident as a teenager and give you a Small Bit of Happiness! Remember: you are amazing as you are, and everyone feels low self-esteem sometimes, even if they don’t show it.
